Building a Permanent Home for Faith and Community at Nasruddin Mosque
For years, the Muslim community in the Nasra Garden neighborhood of Umoja, Nairobi, has shared a remarkable journey of faith, patience, and unity. What started as a vision to bring neighbors together has grown into something truly special: a dedicated sanctuary for our community.
Our Journey So Far
Through countless collective efforts, generous contributions, and deep-rooted perseverance, our community achieved a major milestone: all six plots comprising the Nasruddin Mosque site are completely paid off, Alhamdulillah.
To ensure we had a place to gather while planning for the future, we erected a temporary structure made of tents. While this space has served its immediate purpose; allowing us to establish daily prayers, gather for gatherings, and provide a place for our children to learn, it is far from ideal.
Why We Need Your Help
As our neighborhood grows, so does our need for a safe, dignified, and permanent home. Weather changes, overcrowding, and the limitations of a temporary tent structure mean we cannot fully meet the spiritual and educational needs of our growing congregation.
We are raising funds to transition Nasruddin Mosque from a temporary setup into a permanent, weather-resistant, and welcoming sanctuary. Your support will help us lay the physical foundations for a space that will serve generations of worshippers, learners, and community members in Umoja.
